Gloria’s behavior is special but not so bad in order to bother about it. I probably can explain her extravagancy from time to time – she just has no sisters or brothers, or cousins to take care of. However she is very friendly and social. It should be noticed that they have moved to their house not long ago and she actually has no friends – she doesn’t even have a dog or cat to play with. Her mother believes that animals leave hair on the furniture and carpet. Gloria is going to school and has a lot of friends there but that is not the same as having a best friend who lives in the same neighborhood and can drop in to play on the computer or unscramble words with her. She respects her parents but they are adults and very often she doesn’t want to share her feelings with them. Gloria would like to have a friend who might share secrets with her. At her age the girl is suffering without a close friend, that is why she often comes to see our family – she thinks that we are close to each other and she finds the defense with us. Celebrating any events or occasions is connected with joy and happiness and this girl loves it very much. So we always invite her to join parties and gatherings and spend perfect time together. Friendship is a thing that helps a person to live and enjoy the life. It teaches us how to get along with other people. Good friends celebrate all victories and hardships together and share their secrets and experiences. A famous American poetess wrote a short poem about friendship ‘Friendship is a thing for two, three or four, even more, like a song that is made to sing. Friendship is a doing thing’. The name Gloria means ‘happiness’ and it is true. Our neighbor brings a joy and happiness into peoples’ souls and emotions for she is a very open-hearted and sincere girl. With her bright features Gloria will become a teacher, a lawyer or an architect but it doesn’t matter at all because she is a brilliant glory of our neighborhood. All of us respect her and soon we are planning to celebrate her birthday – she is sixteen going on seventeen.
